Catholic Life and Mission
Catholic Life and Mission at St Charles Borromeo is rich and vibrant, as we are a community rooted in the teachings and practices of Christ. Our Mission Statement (see below), encapsulates our desire to use the many gifts that we have received from God, to live our lives in service to Him and one another, as we listen to His call for us.
‘Grow, Learn, Work, Follow.’
We will grow in our Catholic faith by praying and worshipping together.
We will work hard so that we can learn and be the best that we can be.
We will work together in our families, school, and parish, and with those both near and far, to make our world a better place for us all.
We will follow the example of Jesus and his teachings in all that we say and do.
St Charles Borromeo is a community of love and hope, concerned with the education of the whole person. We strive to present a unique, clear vision of God, people and life, centred on Gospel values and reflective of the teaching of the Catholic Church.
We provide the children in our care with a quality Catholic education, which encourages the children to recognise life as a faith journey. Our ultimate aim is to develop the full potential of all children, leading them to a life guided by the Spirit and presence of Christ.
At St Charles Borromeo we place all learning and teaching in a Catholic moral context, which both challenges and supports the children to develop in mind, body and spirit. We are committed to helping everyone in the school community to discover the true value and dignity of each and every human being who, loved by God, has a mission on earth.
At St Charles Borromeo we take pride in having a strong Catholic ethos which is committed to doing the very best for all the pupils in our care. As a school, we promote a love of faith; engaging and inspiring our children to take responsibility for promoting the Catholic ethos of our community, whilst seeking to lead and develop this further.
Our school is supported in its mission by the active partnership of the home, the school and the parish; together, we provide support for everyone in our faith community. Our school celebrates, develops and enhances the Catholic Life of our children and ensures our Catholic ethos underpins all that we do and strive to achieve.
